Tip of The Month
SUMMER HAIR CARE
We all love our holiday hair - the naturally tousled waves and the textured feel reminiscent of a seaside getaway, effortlessly exuding a chic appearance! Conversely, some encounter hair struggles while enjoying sunnier climates!
Extended exposure to excessive sunlight, chlorine and saltwater can frequently result in hair feeling parched, fragile and craving ample hydration. This can be especially apparent when we return to blighty and the not so wonderful weather.
Safeguarding your hair prior to and revitalizing it after a day under the sun can contribute to maintaining its vitality, ensuring your locks remain supple and silky.
So some tips for how to prepare for your big trip to the sun!

1. SEE YOUR STYLIST BEFORE YOU GO
-
receive a quality hair cut
-
have a conditioning treatment applied
-
book a smoothing treatment for reduced frizz and management

2. PROTECT BEFORE YOU EXPOSE
-
make a water/conditioning spray bottle and put through your hair before sun exposure and before and after dips in the pool and sea
-
wear a sun hat or wrap over your hair when you can - keeping the heat of the sun off your locks is a must, especially in the hottest parts of the day
3. DONT OVER WASH
-
washing your hair every night can dehydrate your hair, if you don't need to then don't
-
wash with warm clean water and allow to airdry if possible between washes
-
using the conditioning spray you made for protection, your hair will stay glossier and smoother for a quick fix instead of washing daily

4. THE GENTLE TOUCH
-
use the right brush for your hair. Your locks are already under pressure from the heat so please don't stress them even more
5. DON'T HEAT THE HEATED
-
apply heat protector spray before exposing your hair to any heated styling products
-
minimize the use of straighteners and opt for soft brushes and a hairdryer set to a cooler temperature
-
experiment with different updo styles for a change (use bobble ties and scarves to prevent unnecessary strain on the hair)

AND FINALLY.......

6. HYDRATE FROM WITHIN
-
drinking plenty of fluids (non- alcoholic!) This not only keeps your body but your hair healthy
-
keep the fluids (non-alcoholic!!!) going in to hydrate your sunkissed skin and hair at all times..
